“People describe stadiums as cathedrals of the 21st century, but I think of them more like town halls” says Christopher Lee from Populous architect. Opened in April 2019, Tottenham Hotspur new stadium is a visually striking facility providing a distinctly urban presence to its neighborhood in London. Technilum provided the main external columns (Structure K320) that are ringfencing the whole of the outside of the stadium as well as the approach, ranging from 5 to 20m. These poles are equipped with lighting fixtures as well as CCTV, WIFI and speakers – a chance to group on lighting poles the media equipment needed to welcome and secure crowds.

Structure K family of poles made of extruded aluminum can reach up 20 meters. They integrate technical grooves to fix any kind of light fixture or any accessories (signage, bins, camera…), and adjust them precisely and easily in height. Structure K poles are made of extruded aluminum (City Module Concept), entirely weld-free, combining aesthetics and resistance.
CCTV allows to strengthen user’s peace of mind and sense of security in the public realm. Discrete and perfectly integrated to Technilum’s poles, the video-camera camera can cover 180°. Preventing vandalism often just by its mere presence, this CCTV system also detects vibrations (vandalism or accident), making it possible the intervention of dedicated personnel. The CCTV camera can also be associated with an occupancy sensor, linked with lighting level monitoring.
