The project

Since July 2021, Calais’ ambitions for its seafront have become reality. From now on, the beach district has become a lively promenade, praised by Calais’s inhabitants.
Designed by Agence ON lighting designers, and engineered and produced by Technilum, the monumental “Flambeaux” lighting structures are already part of the site’s alchemy. Proof that urban design is an important asset for a city’s economic, touristic and cultural appeal.
They are made with Structure K anodised aluminum poles, with 6 curved brackets equiped with miniaturized floodlights, providing a dynamic, soft or joyful lighting, depending on the moment.
