Bibliothèque Nationale de France, Paris

The project

A major heritage site and historic site of the BNF (National Library of France), the Richelieu site built more than 300 years ago, has benefited from a total renovation of its buildings and outdoor spaces.

Our Creille lighting columns take their place in the heart of the Vivienne garden-work of art. They are of different heights and openwork with the “Brick” pattern imagined by Agence ON. Specially developed for this papyriferous garden, this pattern, combined with a “corten” aspect (“Mars 2525” powder-coating by Akzo Nobel), is reminiscent of the clay brick and Euville stone chosen to pave the various paths.

Now accessible to all, visitors benefit from an exceptional site, with more than 20,000 volumes in high quality spaces.
