Sainte-Anne Square, Rennes

The project

A delicate set of “lace” work-out diffuses a soft and warm light on Sainte Anne Square, in Rennes. The qualitative redevelopment of this strategic public space accompanied the arrival of the metro’s B line, and the conversion of the Jacobin Convent into a European congress center.

Designed by Ilex Paysage+Urbanisme and manufactured by Technilum, these 12-metre back-lit totem poles, whose fretted pattern is reminiscent of the traditional Bigoudene headgear, are also used for projectors and gobos.
