The project

Orthez’s town center has been completely revitalized, and now offers a genuine pedestrian-only area.

Classified as a historic monument, the Church of Saint-Pierre stands proudly in the square. By its side, a 12-metre TZ lighting pole is adorned with the names of personalities who have marked the history of Orthez (viscounts, mayors, journalists, physicists, pianists, geographers, historians, surgeons, actresses, writers, Resistance fighters and academics), in a delicate openwork tribute.
