The project

An iconic symbol of the city of Calvi, the Genoese citadel has overlooked the bay for more than 700 years. Following a major heritage enhancement project, it now features permanent lighting designed to highlight the monument’s architecture while preserving its nighttime environment.
The ramparts, bastions, and historic structures are highlighted by state-of-the-art “Texture lighting” projectors Paulette, which combine creativity, energy efficiency, photometric precision, and flexible control. This new lighting design helps enhance the site’s appeal while addressing concerns about light pollution and biodiversity.
