The project
A 500-space park-and-ride facility and new premises for the operation, maintenance and storage of Nice’s Line 2 tramway have been built near the Palais des Congrès Nikaïa.
An architectural proposal by BLP & associés blending architecture, light and transparency for a project with a technical vocation, finding its aesthetics in the functionalities that intersect on the site: tramway traffic, maintenance premises, high-level vehicles in the parking lot, pedestrian access.
70 Structure C+ lighting poles equipped with floodlights and catenaries, plus 16 Nerello lampposts, punctuate the tramway tracks and building approaches in a modern way.
The lighting design by 8’18” highlights and serves the various uses of the entire site.
